World Congress of Sociology at the Melbourne Convention Centre

The organisers of next week’s World Congress of Sociology at the Melbourne Convention Centre are still looking for volunteers to help run the conference. The Congress runs from Sunday (25 June) to Saturday (1 July), but volunteers can select the days and times when they are available.

Volunteering gets you free entry to the $700 conference, and a free T-shirt too!

Of particular interest to University of Divinity students and faculty, will be the Sociology of Religion stream. With many of the world’s leading sociologists of religion in Melbourne for the occasion. Stephen Reid, from the National Centre for Pastoral Research based at the UD campus in Box Hill, will be presenting in that stream.

You can register as a volunteer on the website but, given the short amount of time available, it is suggest you contact Sally Daly, the Executive Officer of TASA (The Australian Sociological Association) directly at admin@tasa.org.au.
