University of DivinityThe University is delighted to announce the appointment of Naomi Wolfe as the new Dean of Learning and Teaching.
Naomi has served in various leadership roles across the tertiary sector at both public universities and private providers, and brings a wealth of experience in curriculum design, innovation and delivery, community-engaged teaching, and quality assurance.
Making the announcement today, Vice-Chancellor Professor James McLaren said: “The University is honoured to have Naomi Wolfe accept the offer to become the Dean of Learning and Teaching. Her approach to leadership, and her demonstrated track record for ensuring academic integrity and excellence in learning and teaching directly align with the University’s mission and strategic commitments.”
Naomi Wolfe said: “It is an honour to join the University of Divinity as Dean of Learning and Teaching. I look forward to working collaboratively with colleagues, students and the wider community, to strengthen learning and teaching that is academically excellent, welcomes diverse ways of knowing, and equips graduates to serve with wisdom, integrity and compassion.”.
The Dean of Learning and Teaching is a senior officer of the University of Divinity, reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor. Naomi will commence with the University in August 2026, based at the St Paschal’s estate in Box Hill and working closely with the Academic Deans of the University’s Colleges and Schools throughout Australia.

Wishing you and the University of Divinity all the very best for now and into the future. I am a student currently studying units of learning at Saint Athanasius College. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend the College and am enjoying the learning experience provided by the wonderfully dedicated academic staff at Saint Athanasius College, very ably led by Dr Lisa Agaiby, the Academic Dean of the College.
