Pilgrim Theological College is please to announce that Dr Brian Macallan will be joining the team as Research Coordinator from February 2024.
Brian is a constructive and interdisciplinary theologian with a particular focus on process philosophy and theology. His research attempts to address the important human and ecological questions of our time. Originally from South Africa, he has lived in Australia for over 15 years.
Brian has been part of the University of Divinity in different roles since 2015, serving on numerous committees, and is currently Senior Lecturer in Theology at the University of Divinity. Alongside this new role as Research Co-ordinator at Pilgrim, he will be Ministry Leader at Heartwell Church in 2024. The connection between Church and Academy has been central to his theological journey, championing the role and value of research for Church, the Academy, and Society.
Pilgrim Theological College brings faith and scholarship into conversation in order to equip and form disciples and leaders for the church and world. It is the official training college for the Uniting Church in Victoria and Tasmania and offers courses from undergraduate to master to PhD level. Pilgrim’s world-class faculty come from a diverse range of Christian traditions, ethnicities, and disciplines, to offer a rich learning environment.
