A communication to students about Staying Well in Winter

Dear UD students

This week, the Victorian Department of Education and Training issued new COVID advice for Victorians to Stay Well in Winter

The following steps, while not mandatory, are strongly recommended.

Mask wearing in indoor and crowded settings is strongly recommended to protect yourself and our most vulnerable Victorians through winter – but there will not be any changes to current face mask requirements with these new pandemic orders. This includes wearing a mask while working or studying in indoor learning or office spaces, from now until the end of winter.

Please consult the full announcement (linked above) for other changes including the reduction to the period of time when someone is considered a recently confirmed case, an additional reason to leave home during a positive case isolation period and new public health messaging, the Stay Well in Winter campaign.

Blessings,

Professor Albert P. Haddad

Dean of Academic Programs
