The Once and Future Reformation

The Carmelite Centre and Carmelite Library invite you to be part of this three-day Symposium – Thursday 25 May and Friday 26 May 2017, with a retreat on Saturday.

2017  is the 500th anniversary of the start of the European Reformation. The Symposium treats this as an opportunity to think about the current sense of need for renewal and reformation today, in the churches and in the world. The spiritual life is necessarily at the centre of such change and is the main subject of the papers given at the Symposium. The Centre’s own purpose, to facilitate spiritual journeys, informs the event.

About the Carmelite Centre Melbourne

The Carmelite Centre program is designed around three threads which reflect the Carmelite Way:
Stillness & Silence: gives us the reflective space from which we can act.
Express & Explore: allows us to meet others with whom we can think and talk about the Carmelite Way.
Embrace & Act: allows us to bring contemplation into every aspect of our lives.
