University of DivinityCongratulations to the Reverend Emeritus Professor Philip Hughes AM on his appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the King’s Birthday 2026 Honours. The award is made in recognition of his significant service to the sociology of religion, to academia, to social cohesion, and to the community.
Philip is a long-standing member of the University of Divinity community, as an alumnus, a former Acting Head of Pilgrim Theological College, an Honorary Research Fellow and as the Human Research Ethics Committee Executive Officer.
