New student members of the Academic Board elected for 2021

Congratulations to Pamela Zweck and Reuben Edmonds who have been elected as student members of the University’s Academic Board for a term of two years, beginning 1 January 2021. Thank you to all students who participated in the nomination and election process.

Pamela Zweck, Higher Degree by Research student member

I am a part-time student of the University of Divinity, enrolled at Australian Lutheran College. My PhD thesis topic relates to Lucas Cranach the Elder and involves church history, systematic theology and art. I am retired and prior to this, I was Acquisitions and Liaison Librarian in Löhe Memorial Library, Australian Lutheran College.

As a result of my PhD, I hope to foster a greater appreciation of Lucas Cranach’s reformational art for educational and liturgical use in Christian churches and schools.

It is a privilege to be able to serve the University of Divinity’s HDR community on the Academic Board. I look forward to gaining a fuller understanding of the University’s academic structures and processes and being able to contribute to the well being and care of all HDR students.

Reuben Edmonds, Coursework student member

My name is Reuben Edmonds and I come from Perth in Western Australia. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Theology at Pilgrim Theological College. I came over to Melbourne for the high quality theological courses and to complete theological studies face to face (unfortunate timing!).  I am completing my studies as a part of candidating to become a Minister of the Word in the Uniting Church.

I look forward to joining the Academic Board and being able to bring a coursework student perspective to decisions about new courses and the academic strategic direction of the university.
