Pope Francis has on a number of occasions repeated the observation that we do not live in an epoch of change but in a change of epoch. This observation has struck a chord with many around the world and it has profound implications for the way the Church grows the seeds of the Gospel in Australia. The late Professor Therese D’Orsa had a very long and eminent career in Catholic education and with her husband Jim became seminal figures in opening missiological thinking up to those who lead Catholic schools and systems of schools. It is fitting therefore that the Therese D’Orsa Mission Education bursaries have been created in recognition of Therese’s contribution to the Church and the gift from her estate. The Bursaries are available to support students and research into missiological thinking and action.
Further information is available by contacting Rev Associate Professor Michael Kelly at Yarra Theological Union m.kelly@ytu.edu.au.
