About the position

The University of Divinity seeks to recruit the foundation Director of the Centre for Research in Religion and Social Policy (RASP) to commence on 1 July 2017. This is a part-time (0.4) contract role at Level D under the Higher Education Industry – Academic award for a fixed-term appointment from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2019.

The University of Divinity Centre for Research in Religion and Social Policy is a new initiative of the University. The Centre aims to promote and undertake research on the interaction between religion and society, with a special emphasis on policy implications, and assists in fulfilling the University’s vision.

The Director is the executive officer of the Centre, co-ordinating the work of the Centre, liaising with members of the Centre, donors and supporters, and the wider University, and representing the Centre in public forums.

The Director is responsible for assisting the Centre for Research in Religion and Social Policy Committee to develop and implement a strategic plan focused on developing nationally and internationally recognised social policy research.
