By Clare Shearman, Director, Heart of Life
I’m delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Lynn Moresi to the position of Program Director at Heart of Life.
Lynn began lecturing at Heart of Life this year and her credentials for this role speak for themselves. Lynn comes with a deep sense of her own spirituality. She gained her qualification as a spiritual director through the Siloam Program at Heart of Life, and then completed a Professional Supervision program with The Centre for Existential Practice. Lynn is an accredited member of the Conference of Spiritual Directors and Spiritual Directors International. Her DMin under the supervision of Richard Rohr, amongst others, considered ways in which Christians could be equipped to navigate the challenging faith formation stages of doubt and spiritual darkness. She comes to us from Whitley College, is an excellent lecturer and will be a great addition to the team.
Lynn’s role is designed to provide support to me with regards to our relationship with Yarra Theological Union and the University of Divinity, particularly with unit and course design and maintaining our academic excellence. Additionally, she will work closely with our staff to streamline some of the systems and processes that have evolved at Heart of Life as our relationship with the University has developed over the years.
The establishment of this role received the unanimous support of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart Australia in recognition of the opportunities that exist to develop and extend God’s mission to ‘be on earth the heart of God’ through our work. Likewise, Lynn’s appointment received the unanimous support of the interview panel, which consisted of representatives of the Heart of Life staff team, the MSCs and the University of Divinity. She will commence her appointment on October 1, 2022.
More information about Lynn can be found on our website https://www.heartoflife.melbourne/home/our-staff/
Welcome Lynn – we look forward to working with you more closely!
Dr Lynn Moresi will continue as Adjunct Lecturer at Whitley College for semester 2, 2022.
