Congratulations Professor Dorothy Lee

Congratulations to the Revd Canon Professor Dorothy Lee FAHA, on her election as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. The election took place at the Academy’s AGM on 28 November and is an exceptional achievement.

The Academy presently has 590 Fellows representing the best of Australia’s scholars in the humanities. Dorothy joins a small number of Fellows whose expertise is in religion and theology (these include Professor Frank Moloney and Emeritus Professor Brendan Byrne), and she is the first such Fellow to be elected from faculty since the institution became the University of Divinity. This is therefore not only a wonderful recognition of Dorothy’s achievements, but also testament to the scholarship and research culture of the University of Divinity of which she is a Professor.

The University community congratulates Dorothy on her election, and her continuing contribution to biblical scholarship in the University, in Australia and internationally.
