John 2:1-12, The Wedding of Cana: Jesus’ Identity and a Mother’s Insight

Engaging Your Faith Online Series
After Jesus chose his first disciples, he and they were invited to a wedding in Cana in Galilee. John, the Evangelist, now presents the reader with the “first” of Jesus’ seven signs: the turning of water into wine following his mother’s intervention. This session explores this first sign in its context and offers insights into the role of Mary in John’s Gospel.
Engaging Your Faith is a series of short, online presentations that invite participants to reflect on what it means to be people of faith in the contemporary world. Experienced academics from Catholic Theological College present on a variety of topics.
Presented by Br Dr Paul Creevey FMS
