Community Reading Event
Tuesday, 6 August, 12:45 pm–1:45 pm AEST
FreeGiven “the pleasures of reading in an age of distraction,” (the title of an excellent book by Alan Jacobs), you are cordially invited to the Dalton McCaughey Library’s upcoming community reading event!
Join our lunch-time book discussion on Tuesday, 6 August from 12:45 p.m.-1:45 p.m. in the library.
We will discuss Tish Harrison Warren’s Liturgy of the Ordinary: Sacred Practices in Everyday Life and Cal Newport’s Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World, both award-winning books.
You are most welcome to attend—whether you have read one or both or neither one of the books! Learn more about these books, the ways in which they intersect, and discuss how they may influence everyday life.
Copies of the books are available through the library.
To RSVP, contact cderrenbacker@dml.vic.edu.au.
The DML, a UD Library, is located at 29 College Crescent, Parkville VIC.
