Peter Johnstone OAM, officially retires as the Chair of Jesuit College of Spirituality Council on 24 May 2019. On the evening of Thursday 23 May, an intimate dinner was held to honour Peter as Chair over the last five years. Peter has been instrumental in the transformation of JCS from Sentir College. His expert governance and leadership have attributed to the success of JCS. Peter spoke of the important work JCS is doing in the community and the importance of Ignatian Spirituality for all leaders.
Jesuit College of Spirituality was pleased to host Dr Graeme Blackman AO, Chancellor and Professor Gabrielle McMullen, Acting Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the University of Divinity. Members of JCS Council, Staff and Faculty were also in attendance as were representatives of the Australian Province of the Society of Jesus and their communities.
Jesuit College of Spirituality thanks Peter sincerely for his generous contribution and wishes him well in his future endeavours.
Bernadette Batten has been appointed Acting Chair of JCS Council.
