Applications are now open to take the class ‘Trinity, Society and Solidarity’ in semester 1, 2026 with Pilgrim Theological College.
The unit explores the origins and contemporary significance of the doctrine of the Trinity. We’ll survey key historical developments in the Eastern and Western traditions and look at the re-emergence of the doctrine of the Trinity in the twentieth century.
The class will also investigate the role the doctrine is playing in the global church’s encounter with modern atheism, religious pluralism, global inequality and issues around gender and sexuality.
