Still #1 in Australia for student experience
The annual national Student Experience Survey (SES) results are in, and the University of Divinity has once again been ranked highest university in Australia for 2023.
The SES is part of the Federal Government’s Quality Indicator of Learning and Teaching (QILT) program and provides a national architecture for collecting data on key aspects of the higher education student experience (qilt.edu.au). For five of the past seven years, the University of Divinity has been voted by students as having the highest quality overall educational experience of any university in Australia, a consistent result the University community is justifiably proud of.
“The 2023 results are testimony to the dedication and commitment of all staff to consistently provide a rich and engaging learning experience for students at the University. To be ranked first at undergraduate and postgraduate level for teaching quality, student support and services, and for overall student experience is outstanding” said Vice-Chancellor, Professor James McLaren.
The University of Divinity’s response rate was 52.6%, an increase on previous years and well above the national average response rate of 37.5%.
Undergraduate students at the University reported particularly high satisfaction in student support and services (95.7%), learning resources (94.9%) and skills development (93.2%). Postgraduate students reported high satisfaction in teaching quality and engagement (92.8%), learning resources (88.6%) and student support and services (83.5%).
Professor Albert Haddad, Dean of Academic Programs said “the results indicate that the UD students are supported by their teaching academics, administrative support, and have the resources to assist them in their studies. The University and its Colleges value our students and take great care to provide them the best personalised support, tuition, and resources. This is something to celebrate!”
