Emeritus Professor R. S. Sugirtharajah will consider questions raised about the results of ongoing marketization of the Bible in a public lecture to be held Thursday, 21 August 2014.
R. S. Sugirtharajah is Emeritus Professor of Biblical Hermeneutics at the Department of Theology and Religion at the University of Birmingham.
During the lecture the effects of both colonialism and modernity on the different versions of the Bible we see today will be considered.
The lecture will begin at 7.00pm at the Centre for Theology and Ministry.
