We all know how frustrating it can be when you’re searching the internet and see a link to an eBook or journal article that sounds perfect for your upcoming assignment only to be hit with a paywall or a login requirement to access the full content.
For the Library Hub Lovers:
Start your search with the Library Hub. It’s a treasure trove of resources the library subscribes to, easily accessible through the Library Hub Search bar or A-Z Database List. If you are searching for electronic resources via the Library Hub catalogue, a view full text or view eBook button will appear under the title.
For the “Google is my go-to” crowd:
Love Google Scholar? Install the free Lean Library browser extension. It automatically hunts down open access versions of articles or checks if the library has access for you.
Installing Lean Library is a breeze:
- Visit the Lean Library Guide and download it for your browser.
- Follow the prompts to add the extension and choose “University of Divinity” as your library.
- Now, when you’re browsing online, Lean Library swoops in to find free access or library subscriptions for the articles you need.
Bonus: After your first login with your usual SSO credentials, Lean Library works seamlessly in the background. Easy peasy!
