Leading Patristic Scholar to lead intensive

Three of the key figures in the School of Alexandria – Origen, St Athanasius and St Cyril

Dean of St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary (SVOTS), the Very Rev Dr John Behr, will visit Australia for the first time to lead an intensive study unit. Dr Behr lives in New York and is a Professor of Patristics.

The unit will examine three of the key figures in the School of Alexandria – Origen, St Athanasius and St Cyril – and relate them to the historical development of theology and to the controversies which they engaged with.

The intensive will run over three weekends, commencing in the evening of Friday 24 June to Sunday 10 July.
