Please join us either in-person or online (via Zoom) for the final Wollaston Research Seminar of 2026.
The Anglican Church and Palestine
Gregory Jenks and John Snobar will discuss their respective contributions to the recently published edited volume, The Anglican Church and Palestine.
Edited by Dr. Kwok Pui-lan with contributors from across the globe, including Canon Professor Mark Chapman, Dr. Daniel Joslyn-Siemiatkoski, Dr. Miranda Pillay, Rev. Dr. Sheryl Kujawa-Holbrook, Dr. Fadi Diab, Dr. Thandi Gamedze, and Dr. Gustavo Gilson Sousa de Oliviera, The Anglican Church and Palestine appeared at a critical time shortly after the controversial debates over the Kairos II document at the Church of England general Synod earlier this year.
John Snobar contributed “The First Palestinian Bishop in Jerusalem” — the story of his grandfather, Bishop Faik Ibrahim Haddad, and what his life and ministry reveal about the long, often-overlooked history of Palestinian Christianity.
Greg Jenks contributed a study of the Anglican community in Nazareth: “Nazareth Anglicans: Practicing the Good News of Jesus in the Shadow of Empire.”
