Witnessing History: A Gathering for Truth and Solidarity

The Victorian Government will offer a formal apology in Parliament to First Nations peoples on Tuesday 9th December at 11.00am (AEDT), acknowledging the profound harm caused by the State and by colonisation. This is a significant moment in our shared history and an opportunity for deep reflection and solidarity.
The University warmly invites staff, students, and community members to gather at St Paschal’s Campus to watch this historic event together via the livestream. Following the apology, we welcome you to stay for conversation and reflection over a cuppa.
We hope you can join us in marking this important occasion with respect, care, and community.
