Eastern-Oriental Schism and its Healing | Public Lecture

St Athanasius College is honoured to host a public lecture by Professor Peter Bouteneff of St Vladimirs’s Orthodox Seminary, New York, followed by a presentation from Dr Patricia Fann Bouteneff, Founder and Executive Director of Axia Women.

🕊️ Professor Bouteneff will explore the historical and theological issues that have contributed to the divide between the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Church families—especially those emerging in the 5th century and beyond—before offering reflections on the challenges and insights from modern ecumenical dialogue.

👩‍🦰 Dr Patricia Fann Bouteneff will introduce Axia Women, a pan-Orthodox, intergenerational network devoted to empowering Orthodox women in their service to Christ. Her talk will highlight how Axia fosters meaningful relationships that strengthen the Church and glorify God.
