Entangled Worlds: Seeking Understanding Through Faith and Science

University of Divinity staff Max Vodola, Simon Wayte, Mick Pope and Naomi Wolfe, are among more than thirty presenters at ISCAST’s fifteenth biennial Conference on Science and Christianity. Their papers cover Vatican II and the Galileo case, Moltmann and mass extinction, and Aboriginal theology and Caring for Country.

Supported by the University of Divinity, COSAC 2026 brings together scholars and practitioners to explore the past and future of the conversation between science and religion. It opens on Friday evening with a public lecture in the Melbourne CBD, where keynote speakers Nick Spencer and Peter Harrison join ABC Radio National’s James Carleton. On Saturday and Sunday it continues at Catholic Theological College, in person and online, with keynotes, plenary sessions and 16 themed paper sessions.

Paul Tyson, philosophical theologian and author of A Christian Theology of Science
