University of DivinityThe University of Divinity has once again been recognised as one of Australia’s leading universities for student experience, achieving outstanding results in the 2025 Student Experience Survey (SES). These results reinforce a remarkable story of long-term excellence and consistency that few institutions can match.
The Student Experience Survey (SES) is part of the Federal Government’s Quality Indicator of Learning and Teaching (QILT) program and provides a national architecture for collecting data on key aspects of the higher education student experience (qilt.edu.au).
In the national university rankings, the University of Divinity recorded an exceptional 94.4% positive rating for Overall Educational Experience among undergraduate students, placing it second among Australia’s universities, behind only the Australian University of Theology. The University also achieved an impressive 87.8% positive rating among postgraduate coursework students, again ranking second nationally. These results place the University of Divinity well above the national university averages of 76.2% for undergraduate students and 77.1% for postgraduate coursework students.
More importantly, the 2025 results continue a pattern that has become a defining characteristic of the University. For almost a decade, students have consistently rated their experience at the University of Divinity among the very best in Australia. While ranking positions can vary slightly from year to year, the underlying story remains unchanged: students continue to report exceptionally high levels of satisfaction with the quality of their education, their teachers, and the support they receive.
The University’s results were not limited to a single measure. Undergraduate students reported exceptionally strong ratings across all major areas of the survey:
- Student Support and Services: 95.6%
- Teaching Quality and Engagement: 94.4%
- Learning Resources: 92.5%
- Skills Development: 87.1%
- Overall Educational Experience: 94.4%
Postgraduate students also reported outstanding results:
- Learning Resources: 94.3%
- Teaching Quality and Engagement: 87.1%
- Skills Development: 84.1%
- Student Support and Services: 80.7%
- Overall Educational Experience: 87.8%
When asked how the University of Divinity is able to continuously achieve such strong results, Dean of Learning and Teaching, Naomi Wolfe, said:
