Coptic Studies from Egypt to Los Angeles: Essays in Honor of Hany N. Takla

Warm congratulations to the editorial team — St Athanasius College (SAC) Academic Dean Dr Lisa Agaiby, Honorary Research Associate Fr Dr Arsenius Mikhail, and their fellow editors —  on the publication of Coptic Studies from Egypt to Los Angeles: Essays in Honor of Hany N. Takla (TSEC 40), a Festschrift honouring Hany Takla, a valued friend of the College and a recent sessional lecturer.

This impressive collection brings together essays — many drawing on previously unpublished archival material — that illuminate the historical and liturgical richness of Coptic Christianity. Contributors span both senior and emerging scholars, and include SAC’s Dr Lisa Agaiby, Assoc Prof Youhanna Youssef, and Fr Dr Markos el Makari, alongside esteemed honorary researchers Prof Karl Innemée and Fr Dr Arsenius Mikhail.

A fitting tribute to a scholar whose work continues to enrich Coptic studies worldwide.
