Bringing our lament to Country

A ceremony to remember the inauguration of the School of Indigenous Studies. To lament its closure before God and attend with deep listening to Country.
The Ceremony will be led by Sherry Balcombe, a Djabaguy/Okola woman originally from Far North Queensland, former coordinator of Aboriginal Catholic Ministry and SIS Board member.
Where:
Darebin Parklands, City of Darebin
Please meet at the area in front of the Darebin Park offices.
When:
2:00pm, 13 December 2024
The ceremony will unfold on country led by Sherry Balcombe.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
Parking in Separation Street and car park
Train: 500 metres from Alphington Station, Hurstbridge line.
Bus: 100 metres from Route 506 (Alphington-Moonee Ponds)
