St Francis College welcomes Dr Adam Couchman as Academic Dean

St Francis College is delighted to announce that Dr Adam Couchman will take up the position of Academic Dean in early August.

Dr Couchman is currently the Registrar at Yarra Theological Union and completed his PhD earlier this year with Eva Burrows College. His research is investigating Jesus as a worshipper in the light of the creeds.

The community at Yarra Theological Union is sad to lose him from the role of Registrar but very pleased for Adam to have this opportunity that he richly deserves. In sharing the news with YTU staff, Chris wrote “Adam has made a tremendous contribution to YTU in his two and a half years here. It’s not just what he has done but how he has gone about it with creativity, kindness, and care. He has also managed to complete his PhD during this period – no mean feat while holding down a full-time position.”

In sharing the news with St Francis College staff, Ruth wrote “I have great pleasure in sharing with you that Dr Adam Couchman will be joining us at St Francis College as Academic Dean. Adam comes to us from Yarra Theological Union, another College of the University of Divinity, where he worked as Registrar and is very well-respected. We look forward to him starting work with us on Monday 5 August.”
