About the Conference

At a time when Australia’s churches are still in an early phase of absorbing and responding to the findings and recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, this two-and-a-half-day symposium aims to begin an inclusive, ecumenical and interdisciplinary conversation about the task of cultural change and renewal that lies ahead.

Select keynote sessions at the conference are being live-streamed. Due to the venue being located underground, we are experiencing some technical issues with intermittent interruptions in the live-stream. Please bear with us through these interruptions. High-quality recordings of the keynote sessions will be available for replay at the conclusion of the conference.

  • A fine address by Richard Lennan was marred by poor recording of the opening and then the last ten minutes. Nonetheless, it is food for fruitful reflection even from the distance of Scotland.

    • Hi Michael, we did have some technical issues with the live-stream cutting in and out due to the poor reception availability in the underground venue. However, each live-stream will be replaced with a higher quality recording as soon as possible following each day of the conference, and this has now been updated for all of Monday’s sessions. Thanks!
