February 2022 Intensive at Trinity College Theological School
The extent to which grief and loss has been experienced over these past two years has been far greater than what might be considered normal and serves as a reminder of the range of experiences which give rise to grief.
A timely look at the theories of grief and loss and the pastoral skills and perspectives which can support others through the experience of grief can assist in ministering to and caring for others in this time. Taking time to reflect on our own experiences of grief, the potential complexities in unfolding grief, the impact of cultural perspectives and the life and work settings which expose practioners to grief responses will form an important aspect of our learning in this unit, and provide a background for developing pastoral resources.
This unit will run as an intensive from 7–11 February, 2022 at Trinity College in Melbourne.
