Thanks to the sponsorship of the Hindmarsh Church of Christ Trust, Stirling Theological College has a scholarship available for a South Australian student who comes to study full-time at the College.
The total amount of the scholarship is $10,000.
The award is contingent on suitable applications being received.
The trustees’ primary intention is for the money to support a new student from South Australia to come to the College and study theology and ministry. The money could pay for accommodation in a one bedroom unit for nearly two years, but it could also be used for tuition or even living expenses with the usual caveats, particularly that the student must attend lectures and pass assessments. The scholarship will be paid in two halves – immediately after the census dates in successive semesters.
Please note:
- Electronic or faxed applications will not be accepted.
- The scholarship is for a student who currently resides in South Australia and is embedded in a Churches of Christ community.
- Applications should be received by the beginning of February. However, applications received after this date may be considered in a second round.
- Scholarships will be paid in two halves; the first half on 1st April and second half on 1st September.
The scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of Stirling’s Grants and Scholarships Committee.
See the Stirling Theological College website for further details and information about how to apply.

Stirling College is committed to ongoing theological reflection and the formation of each member of our learning community. Stirling is committed to being Christ centred in heart, thought, word and deed. We form people towards Christ centred lives, mission and ministry. Stirling is committed to giving students the best possible skills to read the Bible in its original context and to then reflect on what that means for today and how to apply it in their lives, not just for their own benefit but to benefit the Body of Christ in its diverse and varied expressions.
