The following citation was adopted by Council on 7 May 2014:
Emeritus Professor Christiaan Mostert has rendered outstanding and exceptional service to the University of Divinity. He is internationally renowned for his theological scholarship, in particular his acclaimed work on the theologian Wolfhart Pannenberg. He was President of the Melbourne College of Divinity from 2006 to 2007, and a member of the University Council until his retirement in 2012. Through these activities and his theological leadership in the life of the Church he has greatly enhanced the University’s reputation.
