SUMMARY:Academic Promotion/Classification Information Session (Level D)
DESCRIPTION:For some time\, and intensively through 2025\, the Academic Promotions Committee has been engaged in revising the University’s guidelines for academic classification and promotion\, both to simplify the application process and to make the assessment of applications clearer and more equitable. \nThe final changes were approved by the Academic Board in February 2026\, and the updated Academic Staff Policy can be read here. \nIn April 2026\, members of the Academic Promotions Committee will be leading sessions to introduce the new guidelines and processes to academic staff. If you are a member of Academic Staff at the University of Divinity\, and planning to apply for promotion soon\, please consider attending one of these online workshops. \nSessions will include: \n\nIntroduction to policy and procedural changes\nWorking through a sample application together\nOpportunity to ask questions and seek clarification\n\nPlease register for the relevant session using the links below: \nThursday 9 April\, 11am AEST: Applying for Level E \nThursday 9 April\, 2-3pm AEDT: Applying for Level C \nThursday 16 April\, 11am AEST: Applying for Level D \nContact the Chair of the Academic Promotions Committee\, Professor Katharine Massam\, for further information. \nTrinity College Theological SchoolTrinity College Theological School is a college of the University of Divinity from the Anglican tradition\, based in Melbourne\, Victoria.
