The Psalms: Jewish Prayer and Christian Prayer

An online webinar of interest to teachers, pastoral associates and all lovers of the Word.

This webinar will provide teachers with an overview of the context in which Psalms were written and used in Jewish prayer including in Jesus’ time. It will explore the various genres of the Psalms and their use in early and contemporary Christian prayer.

Dr Mary Reaburn nds is a Sister of Our Lady of Sion. Mary teaches at Yarra Theo-logical Union within the University of Divinity. She loves the Psalms and Wisdom Literature and indeed the whole Bible. Mary is involved in Jewish-Christian Rela-tions and is currently on the Australian Catholic Bishops’ Conference Council for Ecumenical and Religious Relations with the Jews.

accreditation to teach in a Catholic School OR to teach RE or lead in a Catholic School.
