Public Lecture: Syriac Women Saints by Sebastian Brock FBA, Oxford University

Sebastian Brock is Emeritus Reader in Syriac Studies at Oxford University, a Fellow of the British Academy, a universally respected scholar and teacher, and the much loved ‘father’ of Syriac Studies. He has published over 35 books and hundreds of articles on Classical Syriac language, literature and history, in addition to his incredibly useful encyclopedia entries and book reviews. He remains a popular speaker on Syriac Christianity. We are overjoyed to welcome him back to St Athanasius College for our second public lecture on Hagiography and the Cult of Saints, for which Mar Sebastian will speak on the Syriac Women Saints.
