Pádraig Ó Tuama – Joint Spirituality Centre Development Day: Masterclass: Spirituality & Conflict
Tuesday, 9 May, 9:30 am–4:00 pm AEST
Heart of Life Centre for Spiritual & Pastoral Formation, Kardia Formation, Living Well Centre and Wellspring Centre are delighted to bring those with an interest in spiritual accompaniment, a joint professional development day with Irish poet and theologian, Pádraig Ó Tuama. The theme of the masterclass will be ‘working with conflict’.
Possible aspects of conflict that will be explored include:
- dealing with spiritual conflict within and how to reflect upon it
- acknowledging conflict in prayer and spiritual direction
- love your enemies but resent your neighbour: high-scale conflict with others/in the wider community
Pádraig brings interests in language, violence and religion to his work. From 2014-2019, he was the leader of the Corrymeela Community, Ireland’s oldest peace and reconciliation community. William Crawley of the BBC said of him, “probably the best public speaker I know”.
The cost for this day is $150 (including lunch and morning tea). We invite you to pay what you can. We hope that those who can pay the full amount will pay a little extra to help cover the cost for those who can’t.
I have tried to book for this event twice and the site throws up an Error page. I have tried to ring Clare, but have not reached her and cannot message her because the number is a landline. The message bank – if any – does not appear to function, I hear repeated bips. Can you help?
Thanks for letting us know. I’ve contacted the organiser to request an updated link for the bookings. You can also email the organisers on firstname.lastname@example.org
Hello again Pirrial. I’ve just heard back from the organiser who has said that the event is full. There is a waitlist if you wish to register for it:
