Pádraig Ó Tuama – Joint Spirituality Centre Development Day: Masterclass: Spirituality & Conflict

Heart of Life Centre for Spiritual & Pastoral Formation, Kardia Formation, Living Well Centre and Wellspring Centre are delighted to bring those with an interest in spiritual accompaniment, a joint professional development day with Irish poet and theologian, Pádraig Ó Tuama. The theme of the masterclass will be ‘working with conflict’.
Possible aspects of conflict that will be explored include:
- dealing with spiritual conflict within and how to reflect upon it
- acknowledging conflict in prayer and spiritual direction
- love your enemies but resent your neighbour: high-scale conflict with others/in the wider community
Pádraig brings interests in language, violence and religion to his work. From 2014-2019, he was the leader of the Corrymeela Community, Ireland’s oldest peace and reconciliation community. William Crawley of the BBC said of him, “probably the best public speaker I know”.
The cost for this day is $150 (including lunch and morning tea). We invite you to pay what you can. We hope that those who can pay the full amount will pay a little extra to help cover the cost for those who can’t.
