Lunchtime Seminar | Dr Rina Madden
Friday, 11 October 2019, 1:00 pm–2:00 pm AEDT
Living Between: Exploring a Framework of Spirituality for Teachers and Students in Catholic Schools Today
This lunchtime seminar presents a theological framework of spirituality that highlights four paradigms of human experiencing as liminal spaces where existential questions are raised and the Transcendent is glimpsed: Vulnerability, Responsibility, Commitment, and Fulfilment. Each paradigm will be explored through the two dimensions of the framework: the anthropological and the theological, using the writings of Boeve, O’Collins, Chretien, Levinas, Chuavet, Ricouer and Rahner – theologians and philosophers who explore the phenomenology of meaning-making, revelation and faith. Finally, the seminar will present some of the practical ways the framework has been used in teacher professional learning in religious education.
Friday 11 October, 1-2pm
Knox Room, Catholic Theological College
All staff, researchers and postgraduate students of the University of Divinity are welcome to attend.
