In this webinar, Associate Professor Christine Slade will share with participants advances in assessment design and implications for academic integrity within the generative artificial intelligence environment. There will also be opportunity to engage in interactive activities and ample time for collegiate discussion.
Associate Professor Christine Slade is an academic in the Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI) at the University of Queensland (UQ). Christine contributes to UQ’s strategic priorities in assessment and academic integrity and has leadership responsibilities in the University’s Academic Integrity Action Plan. In 2022 Christine was awarded a UQ Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning for her assessment work. She is also a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy UK, the highest level of fellowship, awarded for sustained strategic impact and thought leadership in teaching and learning at inter/national and institutional levels. Christine recently led a HERDSA-funded grant exploring why students use ‘buy-sell-trade’ filing sharing sites with the view to inform institutional decision making. Under Christine’s leadership the UQ Academic Integrity Team was a finalist in the augural Tracey Bretag Prize 2021. In 2019-2018, she joined a small team of academic integrity experts, under Professor Tracey Bretag’s leadership to deliver the TEQSA-funded national academic integrity workshops and toolkit of resources. Previously, Christine represented UQ on the international Epigeum Academic Integrity Development Collaborative, which designed contemporary academic integrity modules for students and staff.
