Leonie Bird is a barrister currently doing her PhD through YTU.  She is investigating Victorian statutory reforms that affect religious organisations.
Her PhD research question concerns the vicarious liability of church organizations and is being supervised by Prof Keith Thompson (legal academic at Notre Dame University New South Wales) Prof Philip Hughes (social science researcher with the Christian Research Association) and Michael Kelly.  The thesis also deals with some of the theological issues raised by the recent state legislation.
